The McBerns Safety Lid has been designed with safety as a priority.

An important feature of our custom made McBerns Safety Lid are our safety grates. We have two versions M1 has an easily removable safety grate incorporated, which takes the worry out of open lids on site. The M2 has a hinged safety grate which swings up and locks in place onto the lid to form a 3 sided barrier when the lid is open, thus making onsite maintenance safer.

The McBerns Safety Lids are made of robust aluminum alloy and are coated with an anti-theft, non slip coating with reduced tripping hazards and gas tight rubber seals. The Safety Grates have been load tested to 1000kgs and comply with the relevant sections of A.S. 1657-1992.
